Stable Diffusion
Image generator/rendering
Stable Diffusion streamlines design workflows by enabling rapid visualization, iterative exploration, and concept generation in the early stages of a project. It can turn simple text prompts or sketches into rich, high-quality renderings much faster than traditional methods. Designers use it to produce stylistic variations, mood studies, and branding visuals that can later be refined in BIM, CAD, or Adobe tools. While mastering Stable Diffusion can be challenging because it requires familiarity with its interface, batch processing, and strong hardware for demanding image generation, it offers remarkable creative control by allowing users to fine-tune multiple parameters for precise and personalized results.

Showcasing Stable Diffusion for Architectural Uses
This tutorial uses a controlnet to ensure that the image generation of the source object remains the same, but the theme and texture of the image varies. Here is an explanation and installation guide to controlnet.

Ethical and Copyright Concerns
One of the actual ethical/copyright concerns is that the model used can be trained to mimic a firm’s or architect’s style of architecture. In a real concerning case, actual projects can be reimagined with the source objects left unchanged, but the environment and texture has changed. Meaning, that an architect’s work can be plagiarized with only environmental or textural changes.
